driven, hidden, striven, lost;
coulda', shoulda', gonna, boss;
fears, doubts, panic and shame;
quiet, resting, yielding, gains.
inhale, Lord, Master, Ya'el;
exhale, help us, sinners, all;
doors that open and hearts that beat,
please, take me to Jesus' feet.
coulda', shoulda', gonna, boss;
fears, doubts, panic and shame;
quiet, resting, yielding, gains.
inhale, Lord, Master, Ya'el;
exhale, help us, sinners, all;
doors that open and hearts that beat,
please, take me to Jesus' feet.

I feel so lucky to have today to ponder what we did over the weekend. Right now I am thinking about how lucky I am to have friends like you to share my life and faith with. Thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteGood morning everyone.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for setting this up Pat.
I have spent some time thinking about how each one of us contributed in different ways to make this weekend so meaningful and powerful. My thanks to all of you for coming and sharing.

Hi everyone....I have been doing the Jesus Prayer every day and find it really calming and wonderful. What are you all trying to do as a discipline? Have you found something that works and a way to make sacred space for yourself? It is hard when you are so busy Hope you are all well. Cathy
ReplyDeleteThank-you All for welcoming me to your weekend. I felt so honored to be a part of you. It was truly a gift for me to have had the preparation time to reflect on my journey.
ReplyDeleteBusy as I am, my sacred space is my car ~ praying, singing and treasuring the experience and each of you.

I've thought often of the glorious weather we were given and the special times together last weekend. Yesterday I took a half hour after work (my 5 hours at the Mill) and walked around North Sunderland, a lovely village on the Connecticut, as a way of creating my "spacious place." It was a conscious choice to walk quietly in beauty, and I was proud of myself.
ReplyDeleteI pray for all our retreat sisters whenever their faces come to mind - with joy and thanksgiving.
